The Emmys 2026: Who Wore What?
We all love a nose across the pond to see who is wearing what at one of the most glamorous events of the year — and the Emmys rarely disappoint.
Television’s biggest night might officially be about celebrating the very best on screen, but before a single award is handed out, there is another competition taking place: the red carpet.
Hollywood descended in full force, bringing couture, diamonds, sharp tailoring and, inevitably, a few looks that had us wondering what on earth the stylist was thinking. From old-school glamour and beautifully understated gowns to bold colour, sculptural silhouettes and some seriously good menswear, this year's carpet gave us plenty to talk about.
And that is half the fun. Fashion shouldn't always play it safe. Sometimes the looks we remember aren't necessarily the prettiest — they're the ones that make us stop, look again and have an opinion.
So, awards aside for a moment, we're heading straight to the red carpet.

Our Best Dressed: Zendaya
Our best dressed is undoubtedly the stunning Zendaya — and once again, she made it look almost ridiculously easy.
Wearing a custom Prada gown, styled by her long-time collaborator Law Roach, Zendaya arrived in a barely-there nude tulle creation covered in intricate crystal and bead embroidery, finished with a dramatic train. An archival Prada silk duchesse belt, embellished with crystals and teardrop pendants and dating back to the house’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection, pulled the whole look together.
And then there was the jewellery. Rather than piling on yet more sparkle, the look was finished with beautiful Mikimoto South Sea pearls and diamonds — a classic choice that somehow felt completely modern against the sheer, crystal-covered Prada.
But perhaps the biggest surprise was the hair. Zendaya debuted a short, tousled pixie cut, with more than a nod to Halle Berry’s iconic early-2000s look. Hairstylist Coree Moreno kept it deliberately textured and slightly undone, while make-up artist Ernesto Casillas went for glowing skin and understated late-'90s-inspired glamour.
It was sexy without being overt, glamorous without being overdone and fashion-forward without looking like she was trying to make a fashion statement.

Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston opted for a similarly soft, neutral palette, proving that barely-there shades were having something of a moment on the Emmys carpet. But where Zendaya went for high-fashion drama, Aniston stayed firmly in her comfort zone — sleek, polished and unmistakably Jen.
The shimmering gown was elegant, flattering and beautifully understated, paired with her signature glossy hair and natural make-up. Was it groundbreaking? No. Did we expect anything wildly different? Probably not. But at 57, Jennifer Aniston continues to demonstrate that knowing exactly what works for you is no bad thing.

Ayo Edebiri
We love this playful custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy on Ayo Edebiri. The soft periwinkle-blue tiered gown was already beautifully different from the more predictable red-carpet offerings, but turn around and there it was — an enormous fiery red bow cascading down the back.
Fun, unexpected and full of personality, this is exactly what red-carpet fashion should occasionally be. Finished with Mikimoto pearls and shimmering silver heels, it felt youthful without being twee and dramatic without taking itself too seriously.

A little bit quirky, a lot of Chanel — and we absolutely love it.
Harrison Ford & Calista Flockhart
Now this is how you do red-carpet couple dressing.
Harrison Ford and wife Calista Flockhart looked every inch Hollywood royalty, with Harrison keeping things impeccably classic in a custom Paul Smith tuxedo while Calista provided the drama in a fabulous fuchsia Zuhair Murad gown.
The one-shouldered, beautifully draped dress with its sweeping cape was elegant, confident and — amongst a carpet dominated by neutrals and shimmer — a very welcome injection of colour.
At 84, Harrison remains one of the coolest men in the room, while Calista, 61, looked absolutely sensational.

Aliyah Mastin
Sometimes simplicity wins — and Aliyah Mastin looked absolutely beautiful in this ivory Teresa Helbig gown.
The structured square neckline and fitted bodice gave way to a wonderfully full, softly pleated skirt, creating a silhouette that felt classic but still completely right for the 17-year-old Paradise star.
There was something refreshingly uncomplicated about it. No excessive embellishment, no enormous train and no attempt to make her look twice her age — just a beautifully cut gown, minimal styling and a young actress looking entirely comfortable on one of television's biggest red carpets.

Elegant, age-appropriate and effortlessly pretty — definitely one of our favourites.
Shabana Azeez
From hospital scrubs to full-blown red-carpet glamour — Shabana Azeez certainly understood the assignment.
The Pitt star looked sensational in a strapless, hand-beaded gold gown by Sophie Couture. Beautifully fitted through the body before falling into a dramatic train, the texture and metallic finish did all the talking.
Gold can easily become a little too much on the red carpet, but this worked. Minimal jewellery, beautifully glowing skin and pared-back styling allowed the dress to take centre stage.

Aimee Carrero
Now this is how you make black interesting.
Your Friends & Neighbors star Aimee Carrero ditched the traditional evening gown for a dramatic two-piece by David Koma — an explosion of oversized black ruffles, a tiny cropped top, plenty of midriff and a floor-length skirt with a seriously high split.
It’s bold, sexy and wonderfully theatrical, but somehow the simplicity of the all-black palette keeps it looking chic rather than chaotic. Carrero clearly knew exactly what she was wearing too, joking on the carpet that “the ventilation is good.”
Finished with Ricagno shoes and Neil Lane Couture jewellery, this was a risk — but one we think absolutely paid off.

Hassie Harrison
Lady in red — and what a red.
Yellowstone star Hassie Harrison looked sensational in a scarlet Monique Lhuillier gown, with an elegant off-the-shoulder neckline, beautifully draped silhouette and just enough drama without overcomplicating things.
And the colour choice was rather clever. Harrison is swapping the ranch for the beach as one of the stars of the new Baywatch reboot, making that unmistakable Baywatch red feel like a playful little nod to what comes next.
With her blonde hair worn in loose, beachy waves and jewellery kept to a minimum, this was classic Hollywood glamour with a hint of California cool.

Now this is a dress.
Chase Infiniti looked incredible in a custom Louis Vuitton creation that was less traditional evening gown and more wearable piece of art. The strapless, body-skimming mermaid silhouette was completely covered in tiny copper-toned embellishments, creating an almost liquid-metal effect as she moved.
With such an intricate dress, everything else was wisely kept relatively simple — tumbling waves, glowing make-up and delicate Hearts on Fire jewellery allowed the Louis Vuitton craftsmanship to do the talking.
It was also a big night for the young actress, who arrived at her first Emmys with her first nomination, recognised for her performance as Agnes in The Testaments.

Florence Pugh
Romantic, dramatic and just a little bit rebellious — it could only be Vivienne Westwood.
Florence Pugh looked incredible in a custom lilac Vivienne Westwood gown, combining the house's signature corsetry with layers of delicate sheer tulle that swept around her shoulders and into a dramatic train.
The soft lilac was a beautiful choice for Florence, while the structured bodice stopped all that tulle from becoming overly pretty. Add an incredible Bulgari necklace and that wonderfully undone, slightly chaotic updo and somehow it all just worked.
It wasn't neat, safe or predictable — and that's exactly why we loved it.

We couldn't possibly do an Emmys round-up without a mention for one of our own.
Newcastle-born Charlie Hunnam brought a little bit of the North East to Hollywood, looking effortlessly cool in a custom Burberry suit. Keeping things relaxed, he ditched the tie, left the shirt slightly undone and proved that sometimes the less you fuss with menswear, the better it looks.
And there was good reason for him to be on that carpet. Hunnam picked up his first-ever Emmy nomination for his transformation into Ed Gein in Monster: The Ed Gein Story.
